The pupils tick away the time! A fully functional eye clock by Oswald.
A masterpiece with an irresistible Schnauzer-like expression.

Product Description:
This is a unique eye clock manufactured in the 1950s by Oswald, a long-established German clockmaker. This particular piece features a design reminiscent of a Schnauzer, with a humorous and charming expression that catches the eye. The time is not displayed by conventional hands; instead, the right pupil indicates the "hour" and the left pupil indicates the "minute," allowing you to enjoy a fun retro gimmick every time you look at it. It has been tested and is in perfect working order; winding the mainspring on the back causes the eyes to rotate accurately and display the time. The movement is engraved with "GERMANY," and the bottom bears Oswald's S logo, clearly indicating its authenticity. (R070029)

Special Note:
"Rolling Eye Clocks" come in variations such as skulls, cats, and owls, not just dogs, and are very popular among antique enthusiasts and collectors of novelty clocks. Originals (Oswald-made from the early 1920s-1930s) primarily featured hand-carved wooden cases. Germany's Black Forest has a tradition of woodworking, and early products were made with a high-quality wood-carved finish. Later, from the late 1940s to the 1950s onwards, due to mass production and cost reduction after the war, synthetic resin (bakelite or plastic-based) with a wood-grain finish became more common.
