A single flower completes the space.
An Art Deco long-necked vase, like a sculpture.

Product Description:
This is an antique glass vase of the soliflore (single-stem vase) type with an exceptionally long neck, believed to have been produced in Europe (primarily France during the Art Deco period) around the 1920s. From a round, full body, a slender neck extends gracefully upwards. The entire piece is formed by blown glass, and a marble (marbled) pattern based on orange hues is expressed as if溶け込むように within the glass. This marbled colored glass evokes the Nancy School of glass art from the Art Deco period (exemplified by artists like André Delatte), strongly reflecting an era that emphasized decorativeness and sculptural beauty. Even without flowers, its presence as an objet d'art is undeniable. It seamlessly blends into any modern, classic, or vintage interior while exuding a distinct personality. (R080213)

Special Note:
While "long-necked vases" existed at the time, types with such extremely long necks were not common mass-produced forms. Instead, they were distinctive shapes intentionally created within a relatively limited period, taste, and workshop. In Europe from the late 19th to early 20th century, a culture of enjoying the beauty of a single flower or its linear form, rather than arranging flowers in "bouquets," spread. Particularly within Art Nouveau's focus on plant stems and curved beauty, and Art Deco's emphasis on verticality, symmetry, and sculptural forms, the genre of soliflore (single-stem vase) was established. What was common were shapes with "somewhat long" necks, a stable balance between body and neck, and practical considerations to prevent tipping. Types like this vase, with very slender and long necks, a high center of gravity, unsuitability for mass production, requiring skilled blown glass techniques, and having a low success rate (prone to failure during production), were consequently not numerous. Around André Delatte (Nancy School), marbled glass, sculptural forms, and extreme proportions were actively experimented with. Although such long-necked vases were "easier to produce in this region," their quantity was never large – that is their positioning.
